Fall ball is near for Tennessee baseball, and on Friday the schedule was released. The Vols will not play games inside Lindsey Nelson Stadium. Instead, they will compete in four exhibitions at minor league stadiums in the state.
Tennessee will take on the Troy Trojans, who are coming off a trip to Omaha. That meeting will take place at First Horizon Park, home of the Nashville Sounds, on Oct. 11. First pitch is set for 5 p.m. ET, 4 p.m. CT.
Next, the Vols will take on the Lipscomb Bisons at Covenant Health Park in Knoxville, home of the Knoxville Smokies, on Oct. 16. Game time is set for 6 p.m. ET, 5 p.m. CT.
After a couple of weeks without a game, head coach Josh Elander’s team will face the Kennesaw State Owls on Nov. 1. That game is set for 6 p.m. ET, 5 p.m. CT, at the new Erlanger Park in Chattanooga, home of the Lookouts.
To wrap up fall competition, Tennessee will face an Atlantic Coast Conference opponent in Georgia Tech on Nov. 8. That matchup will also take place at Erlanger Park, and game time is set for 2 p.m. ET, 1 p.m. CT.

The exhibitions give an early look at Josh Elander’s second team. Tennessee finished last season 38-22 and went 0-2 at the Chapel Hill Regional, falling to East Carolina in the opener before a 5-4 loss to VCU ended the year without a tournament win.
