KNOXVILLE, Tenn. – According to a report from Brent Hubbs of VolQuest, Tennessee safety Dylan Lewis has been declared out for the remainder of the season. Lewis suffered a foot injury during Tennessee’s 42-9 win over Kennesaw State on Sept. 19.
Lewis, a 6-foot sophomore from Atlanta, recorded six total tackles in three games this season. In 2025, Lewis saw five games of action where he was a contributor on special teams. He recorded one tackle in that stretch.
Prior to Tennessee, Lewis played for Milton High School in Georgia, one of the top-rated high school programs in the country by numerous outlets. He was a consensus three-star prospect by all major recruiting services and a top-75 cornerback in the country according to 247Sports (No. 68) and On3 (No. 61).
No. 17 Tennessee hosts Auburn Saturday at 3:30 p.m. EDT. The game closes the Vols’ three-game homestand and marks Auburn’s first trip to Neyland Stadium since 2013. Tennessee will also wear its new Smokey Grey uniforms as it looks to snap its three-game SEC home losing streak.
