KNOXVILLE, Tenn. – On Wednesday, Tennessee baseball released its full schedule for the 2027 season. One amazing fact that pops out is the ratio of home and away games. The Vols will open the gates to Lindsey Nelson Stadium for 38 of their 56 games. The rest are 15 road and three neutral-site games.
The Vols’ Southeastern Conference schedule was released Sept. 8, and the five road series at Texas A&M, Texas, Auburn, Florida and Alabama will make up the 15 road games. The Vols are set to host the defending national champion Oklahoma Sooners, Arkansas, Georgia, Mississippi State and Vanderbilt for home SEC play.
First, Tennessee opens its season with a home series against Northern Illinois from Feb. 19-21. Then, after a midweek game against High Point on Feb. 23, the Vols will travel to Jacksonville, Florida, for the 2027 Live Like Lou Jax College Baseball Classic, which will be played at VyStar Ballpark from Feb. 26-28.
Tennessee will face Cincinnati on Feb. 26, Illinois on Feb. 27, and finish the weekend with Georgia Tech on Feb. 28 before returning home to host 14 straight. For the full schedule, see below. Times other than the Live Like Lou Jax College Baseball Classic will be announced later.
